Our Name

Built on strength. Rooted in legacy.

Alder trees were sourced from Croatia to help build the city of Venice, Italy. This is a wood that doesn't weaken. It gets stronger underwater.

Alder Trees also grow in the mountains of Colorado, where our firm was founded. They thrive in wet, treacherous terrain, often found near brooks.

That's why we chose the name: Alder Brooks.

But it's not just about strength.

It's about legacy. Our Co-Founder & CEO, Mike Mosunic, has deep family roots in Croatia. His father grew up on a small island off the Croatian coast, where a love of nature and hard work shaped the values behind this firm.

For us, Alder is more than a tree.

It's a symbol of family. Of resilience.

Of strength that endures through generations.
